Description Presenting Symptom: Loss of vision OU; Hematemesis; Cotton wool spots. Pathology: Retinal opacity. Clinical: The patient was a 72-year old female who lost most of her vision in both eyes promptly after a spell of hematemesis. The fundi showed blurring of discs and some opacification of the adjacent retina (cotton wool spots). Systemic investigation showed a gastric lesion at the site of hemorrhage. The hemoglobin was 6.1 gm/100 cc. Disease/ Diagnosis: Gastrointestinal hemorrhage
