The golden beehive is Legacy Gold representing Utah's legacy and prosperous future ahead. It also represents the Beehive State and the motto of industry one in the same. The additional colors of orange and red combine around the circle with the gold to create a gradiant effect without being a gradiant, and represents not just variety of colors seen in Utah's famous red rocks, but also a sunset/sunrise effect that echoes the vibrant golden red hues of Utah's sunsets over its beautiful red rocks. It is unique and striking, while also a memorable effect that is easy for a child to replicate while remaining colorful due to its simplicity. The white star of course represents the 45th star on the US flag and statehood."
