The beehive symbol taken from the commemorative flag of Utah represents the beehive state. It placement of the left of flag represents Utah's prominence in the west while connecting the two sides of the gold stripe running through the middle representing Utah connecting the East and West halves via railroad at the golden spike location in Promontory, Utah. The White bottom represents the Bonneville Salt Flats while the Blue represents Utah's historic past. |
