The blue on the left symbolizes the Great Salt Lake, and also Utah's loyalty to the United States, as well as Utah's tradition. The red symbolizes Utah's national parks and southern red rocks. The white symbolizes snow on the top of mountains, and the Greatest Snow on Earth. The seagull is our state bird, and represents the freedom and resilience of Utah. The yellow represents Utah as the Beehive State, and our motto of Industry. The green represents our peacefulness and security. It also shows our abundance. |
