Description |
Starting with the main blue color, I used the original blue to represent a sense of tradition amidst the change of the rest of the flag. The gold color represents prosperity and success. The honeycomb pattern is to stick with the idea of Utahns working together like busy bees in industry. However, I used the more modern-looking design to show a more modern side to the industries in Utah, namely the technical side. The crossing arrows are a Native American symbol of friendship, representing both; our state's Native Peoples' heritage, as well as the friendship we offer to our tourists and to each other. I also put in the years of the Pioneers entering the Salt Lake Valley and of the state's ratification. The golden circle around these represents the consistency of the success people will continue to find here. |
