Description |
"Copper: Represents hard work and industriousness, which are two core values the state of Utah expresses through its motto. It is also the color of Utah's state mineral (copper) and its canyons for which the state is well-known for. Here, it is in the shape of Utah's famous stone arch, and also oriented in a U. Blue: Taken from the current Utah flag, it represents the lakes and rivers of Utah, as well as tying the flag to the nation's colors. It also represents freedom and peace. Beehive: An extremely important symbol for Utah, it represents the industry, harmony, order and frugality of the people, and of the sweet results of their toil, union and intelligent cooperation. Stars: The 12 stars are a callback to the flag of Deseret territory. Honeybee: Also a part of the beehive symbol, and a symbol of diligence and cooperation." |
