Description |
Typescript of answers by William Cooley for a questionnaire filled out for Utah Works Progress Administration's "Pioneer personal history" survey. He was born in Iowa in 1857, and came to Utah in 1887, Working mines at Stockton, Park City, and Grand County. Later he lived at Moab. In his younger days he traveled through much of the West, and mentions incidents in Texas, Kansas and Wyoming, as well as a robbery by Butch Cassidy in Castle Gate, Utah. Typed by Winford Bunce in 1937 |
