The rates of women interacting with the criminal justice system are increasing steadily yet little is known about the experiences of these women within the system as well as the latent effects that follow them throughout their lives. Through those evaluations, educator's observation and collected qualitative data of the women's experiences while incarcerated, paired with literature reviews expanding on sexual health while Incarcerated Community Sexual Health Educator: In order to gain unique insight/perspective on the incarcerated women's experience-for the past year, I have become a community/sexual health educator for the Planned Parenthood Association of Utah within the Salt Lake County Metro Jail.
