Description |
The block on the right of this design is a reference to the Delicate Arch, a key landmark of Utah. Note that the arch is shaped like the state border. The inner hole has a hexagon/honeycomb shape in reference to beehives, a symbol of Industry. The color yellow is also a reference to honeycombs The color blue symbolizes the Salt Lake, another famous Utah landmark. The image on the left is a simplified version of the Great Seal of the Ute Indian Tribe, for which the state of Utah is named after. |
