Description |
Utah is the modern day version of what the Saints created as Deseret. Deseret was founded by Brigham Young to be a state of refugee for the Saints. When they arrived, the flew a blue and white flag on Mt Zion that had 12 stripes with 12 stars around 1 star. This is my recreation of said flag. This flag symbolizes the origin and history of Utah along with its future. White: the holiness of the land, the Lord chose Utah (Deseret) to be the safe land for the Saints Blue: the beauty of nature, specifically the sky. Utah's beautiful mountains and sky are represented in the blue. 12 stripes: the 12 tribes of Israel 12 stars: the 12 apostles 1 star: the Lord |
