Presenting Symptom: Retinal hemorrhage. Pathology: Multiple punctate spots. Clinical: The exudate is focally massive and appears to have formed by conglomeration of multiple punctate spots. The confluence in the macula suggests a partial star figure resulting from the radiate arrangement of nerve fibers in this region. The patient was a 67-year old male with hypertension and diabetes. Disease/ Diagnosis: Diabetic sequelae. |
