The 3 COLORS recall the diversified landscape of Utah, but also represent its diverse people. The SHARP POINT in the colors represents our rugged mountains and the desire of each Utahn to rise up together and be better citizens and neighbors. Also represents Utah's advancements in industry. Specifically each color signifies: DARK BLUE: Our starry night skies, and the honor and integrity of each Utahn. WHITE: Our snowy peaks, and the peace and serenity found in Utah. ORANGE: Our red-rock country, the adventure to be had, and the Native Americans who came before us. The STAR represents our state as a light for all to gaze upon, and the 5 points of the star represent our 5 National Parks. A LITTLE ABOUT ME: My name is Mark J. I have lived in Utah for the past 20 years. I am 43 years old. I am an artist and graphic designer. I wanted to design a flag that represents the incredible diversity, spirit of adventure, exceptional beauty, and deep admiration I feel for our magnificent state. My goal was to design something that could be proudly displayed and stand out as a flag, a patch, a sticker, or on any other medium. Thanks for your consideration.
