Description |
Front and center is the Sego Lily, a unique symbol of Utah that all Utahns can embrace. Blue represents Great Salt Lake, the most well-known geographical feature of Northern Utah. The white stripe represents Utah's much celebrated snow and has a shape reminiscent of the letter U. The shape and color of red section is suggestive of the distinctive red rock buttes of Southern Utah. The flag simply and elegantly highlights the defining characteristic of our state: the unmatched beauty of the natural landscape. Any Utahn, regardless of background, can unite under this banner and experience a common sense of pride and belonging with their neighbors. |
