Pituitary Apoplexy |
Description |
A 52-year-old, morbidly obese man with a past medical history that included ischemic cardiac disease with a history of angioplasty, COPD, hypertension, and NIDDM, presented with a severe headache. The next day he had a frozen OD, complete right ptosis, and an unreactive middilated right pupil with V1 hypesthesia. The visual function was intact. The MRI showed pituitary apoplexy with extension into the cavernous sinuses. A month later, or oral corticosteroids, his ptosis is almost gone and eye movements have improved, with no corneal hypesthesia or headache. Pair with 97_19, 97_20, 97_21, and 97_22. |
