Description Clinical Signs: coarse horizontal nystagmus; occasional vertical component. Presenting Symptom: vertigo. History: 2-11-80: Pt seen at JHH with Dr. David Zee. PP is a 35 year old man with peculia affect. Symptoms began 16 yrs. Ago with illus. ov.of environment; cd. Be stopped by tilting head. Gait has become progress. Difficult and is now grossly ataxic. Develops severe headaches and sneezing episode may result in inability to walk or talk for 2-3 mins. Exam: periodic alternating nyst.with partial correction by head turning to position of least nystag. Disease/ Diagnosis: Arnold Chari Malformation
