Description |
Burnt orange- Arches and Dessert Color Sego Lily- A sign of resilience. A flower that blooms in adversity. If there is one word the represents Utah citizens and ancestors is resilience. Pioneers risked everything to find freedom here. During the First World War the flower became a symbol of peace. Karl E. Fordham's poem "Sego Lily" portrayed the plant as an image of home, mercy, freedom, and peace for the men and women of Utah who were serving on the battlefields of Europe as well. What better way to represent our state than this. |
