Dr Gunn was born in Lexington, Kentucky in 1899 Dr Gunn received his Bachelors from Cornell University in 1921 and his M.D. in 1925 and Ph.D. in 1930 from Northwestern University. Dr Gunn was a National Research Fellow at the University of Buffalo and completed his Internship at the Buffalo General Hospital. Dr Gunn was Instructor in Pathology at Northwestern University (1927-1928); Associate Professor (1928-1931); Assistant Professor (1931-1939); Associate Professor (1939-1944). Dr Gunn was Professor and Chair of the Department of Pathology at the University School of Medicine from 1944-1954. Dr Gunn served on the staff of the LDS Hospital until his retirement in 1965. Dr Gunn was Professor Emeritus of Pathology. Dr Gunn died in 1988. |
