Kuida, Hiroshi, M.D.

Dr Kuida was born in Ogden, Utah in 1925. Dr Kuida received both his B.S. (1949) and M.D. (1951) from the University of Utah. Dr Kuida completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the Salt Lake County General Hospital from 1951-1953. Dr Kuida completed post-doctoral training as a Fellow in Cardiology and Research Fellow at Harvard University Medical School and Peter Bent Brigham Hospital from 1953-1956 and as a Research Fellow in Physiology at the University of Minnesota from 1956-1957. Dr Kuida return to Salt Lake City and the University in 1957 as Chief Medical Resident and as Instructor 1958-1961, Assistant Research Professor 1961-1964, Associate Professor 1964-1969, Associate Professor Physiology 1965-1969 and Professor of Medicine and Physiology at the University of Utah College of Medicine, 1969. Dr Kuida served a Head of the Division of Cardiology from 1965-1982. Dr Kuida died in 2011.
