I see the use of the Delicate Arch from Arches National Park as the most symbolic icon for the state. It is amazing that it actually has a "beehive" quality. The blue is a symbolic nod to the current Utah flag including the history and ingenuity of the pioneers who settled this great state. The yellow represents the beehive from the current flag and the industry of Utah: past, present and future. The colors also represent the all the outdoor beauty that Utah has to offer from skiing under a deep blue sky to hiking in the beautiful desert. Utah has it all! |
