Description Mental health disorders continue to rise in the United States. One in 5 adults live with a mental illness (CDC, 2023). In 2019 the World Health Organization found that 280 million people were living with depression and 301 million people were living with an anxiety disorder. Despite the high prevalence of depression and anxiety there persists a gap in effective treatment strategies. The aim of this study is to find a relationship between community-based boxing classes and PHQ-9 and GAD-7 scores.
