Description |
I chose two iconic symbols of Utah for this flag: The Sego Lily, and The Beehive. I chose the sego lily because it is Utah's state flower, and represents how beautiful our state is. Utah is the prettiest state in the country in my opinion, and our state flower is something that makes it apparent. I chose the beehive for a number of reasons. Not only is the beehive a reference to the previous flag, it also is symbolic of the hard workers of Utah. Utah workers are known for their determination, strength, and unity. Throughout the pandemic, Utahns have shown that they are resilient, strong, and willing to work for the improvement of everyone, just like the worker bees from a hive. |
