Abstract In this interview, conducted by Leslie Kelen, David Alder (b. 1901) recalls his early life in Latvia, coming to America, his father's position as a teacher in the cheder for Congregation Montefiore, various jobs, his trip to Latvia and Russia during the 1930s, and his involvement in local Jewish institutions. 37 pages.
