On Twin Creek, Grand River country, sketch |
Description |
Sketch of rocky outcrops along the Grand (Gunnison) River at a place called Twin Creek (possibly Steuben Creek), drawn by Richard H. Kern during the Gunnison expedition in September of 1853. Shlaer observes that Kern probably drew this and two others nearby to document the impracticality of building the railroad through this canyon. |
