Description The purpose of this project was to discover how the use technology can facilitate and promote parental involvement in a low income school and how to make the use of that technology and other education opportunities more accessible to parents in our area. The theoretical framework of this research project was constructivist based on discovery learning, and all the research was parent driven. It also considers social justice in education and is community of practice based. The study examines: advantages of technology uses for educational purposes; facilitating Technology access to promote parental involvement and the role of schools in promoting access to technology and training opportunities for parents. The data collection methods were parent surveys, questionnaires, focus group interviews, film observations, hands on trainings and written suggestions of how to implement a more successful approach related to promoting parent involvement. All of my findings assured me that schools have a pivotal role in promoting parental involvement and increase student academic achievement and success.
