Geometric design with green triangle and blue, white yellow and light blue sections

I wanted my flag to emphasize the landscape and people of Utah. I started with the mountains. I made them green and blue to represent our connection to nature. I included white and light blue in the sky as references to the Great Salt Lake and the Salt Flats. I included the yellow beacon because Utah is the fastest growing state and has the youngest population. This growth means that we are constantly evolving and making life better for Utahns. The yellow is also a reference to our nickname, "the beehive state."
