Description On the surface, this flag presents a mountain vista, something Utah has no shortage of. The blue represents water, a crucial piece of our state's past, present, and future. The white represents snow and salt, things our state is famous for. The burnt orange represents the red rock, as well as copper, a nod to the state's mining past, and future in technology. These specific colors were also meant to emulate those of the American flag, while also being unique and distinctive, in the same way Utah is unique and distinctive both culturally and geographically within the United States. The 5 peaks represent the 5 Native American tribes of Utah, as well as Utah's 5 national parks. The Star represents Utah's statehood.
