Description This study evaluates the benefits of using the internet, and the effects it has on the academic and the emotional state of students in science learning. This project focuses on secondary Special Education Needs (SEN) students that are diagnosed with different learning difficulties working in the SEN department base. Data was collected over a three-month period using surveys, interviews, observations, and a researcher journal. There were five participants between students and teachers in this study. The Constant comparative method was used to analyze data. Findings indicated that using the internet in science learning supported students academically and emotionally. Results indicated positivism from students when using the internet in the classroom. Educators played a crucial role in meeting students' individual needs and providing emotional support. The three highest levels of Maslow's Hierarchy theory were met, except for the security needs when analyzing internet safety. This research recommends upskilling SEN educators in ICT in order to differentiate their lessons more efficiently in order to meet students' needs to succeed, as well as addressing programs about Internet Safety awareness.
