Description When I think of Utah, I think of 3 striking features the state is home to. These features are what make Utah one of the most unique places to live in the world, so I felt it imperative they are shown. They are represented in orange, white, and blue. The orange on the lower half symbolizes Utah's incredible red rock desert floors, stretching throughout Southern Utah. The white on top shows Utah's famous powder, tucked away in our lofty peaks. The blue symbolizes The Great Salt Lake, delicately placed within its valley. The beehive is Utah's unmistakable symbol for industry, and its location in the blue is indicative of the heart of Utah's economy, Salt Lake City. Additional symbolism in color placement is as follows: the stretch of orange on the right side shows the vast expanse of Utah's desert wonders. The smaller use of blue on the left shows the amount of water we have in contrast to the desert. The white rim on the lower half of the blue circle symbolizes the snow we obtain our water from. The blue circle dipping into the red shows our desert home where the water is stored. The blue circle's placement between the white and orange shows the delicate balance we must strike between our resources. Lastly, the reason the blue is a circle further symbolizes unity throughout all of Utah.
