"The colors of our nation's flag are represented in this design and would stand for the same ideals. Red, White, and Blue. The beehive base represents the strong foundation established for us to build upon by our forbearers and our responsibility to honor their efforts. Simplifying the beehive and making it more prominent reminds everyone that Utah is the Beehive State and that we thrive on industry and cooperation. Having the red lines bow in towards each other will truly make our flag stand out while also showing how agile Utahns are, that we have worked together to solve past challenges and that we will continue to do so as we solve future challenges."
