Description |
Deep blue represents the Great Salt Lake. White represents the mountains of Utah and snow. Yellow symbolises honesty, integrity, and economic opportunity. The beehive not only symbolises Utah's nickname of "The Beehive State," but also represents the cooperation between Utahns to help and support one another as well as their community, and serves as an analogy between the people of Utah and the bees of a hive, as each bee does it's part in providing for the swarm. The five stars above the beehive symbolise the five major Native American tribes of Utah: the Ute, Diné (Navajo), Paiute, Shoshone, and Goshute. |
