Christensen, William R., M.D.

Dr Christensen was born in Salt Lake City in 1917. Dr Christensen received his A.B. from the University of Utah in 1938 and his M.D. from Harvard University in 1942. Dr Christensen was Professor of Radiology and Chair of the Department of Radiology from 1952-1970. Dr Christensen retired from the University of Utah and went into private practice until 1982. Dr Christensen was elected president of the Utah State Medical Association in 1973 and in 1978 president of the Harvard Medical Alumni Association. Dr Christensen served in various capacities with the American Cancer Society, American Roentgen Ray Society, American College of Radiology, New York Academy of Science, North American Radiological Society and Association of University Radiologists. Dr Christensen died in 2013.
