Description |
"I have submitted an infographic for the flag, but the flag can be cropped from the image, or I can send a separate file. The Sego Lily flag is red, white and blue with a sego lily in the top left corner. The lily is surrounded by 12 white stars, with a single gold star in the middle. The three divisions of the flag represent the geographic regions of the state: the Colorado Plateau, the Rocky Mountains and the Great Basin. The sego lily is located where the Great Salt Lake is on a map of Utah. Red, white and gold represent the Colorado Plateau, the Rocky Mountains and the Great Basin Desert. Blue represents the Great Salt Lake. The flag uses a modification of the sego lily design on the flag of Salt Lake City, ensuring that they look uniform when flying next to each other. The 12 stars around the lily and one star in the middle is directly inspired by the Mormon Pioneer Flag." |
