Description |
Symbolism: 1) The sego lily, the state flower which ties us both to the land and to the Native Americans and Pioneers who ate it as food. 2) The arrow pointing forward, showing our dedication to progress. 3) The star inside the flower, representing our world-renowned dark skies, unrivaled for stargazing and astronomy. 4) White, for our snow-packed mountains and the best snow on Earth. 5) Blue, for the Great Salt Lake, the largest saltwater lake in the Western Hemisphere and the landmark from which we get our capital city's name. 6) Rust orange, representing one of the more striking tones from our vibrant and beautiful deserts. |
