The blue field represents the sky. The green field symbolizes our mountainous landscape and the orange field embodies our mesas and canyons. The sego lily, besides being our state flower was used as a food source by the Ute Indians insuring their survival. This skill was then taught to the pioneers. This beautiful flower shows its strength by existing in the toughest of landscapes. |
