Description |
There is much diversity in Utah, including, but not limited to religions, ethnicities, languages, histories and lifestyles. Even Utah's landscapes are varied, salt flats, mountains, red sandstone, lakes and rivers, each entity supporting hundreds of species of flora and fauna. How does a flag unify such diversity and breadth? In 1868 the Utah territorial boundary lines were established. If you live in the lines, you are a Utahn. The shape of Utah is what is needed. The "Utah" shape represents salt and snow. The blue areas represent established communities and the red square represents new ideas and creativity. |
