1. The 5 pointed Yellow star in the middle represents the 5 major tribes of Utah, Ute, Navajo, Shoshone, Paiute and Goshute. The Yellow represents the yellow beehive of the former state flag. 2. The Blue shield represents the perseverance and vigilance of Utah, and the pioneers who founded it. 3. The Red X cross in the background represents the strength and industriousness of Utahns, and the red rock that puts Utah national parks on the map. 4. The white represents purity, and the snow capped peaks that can be seen across the state. |
