The Red represents the red rock, and beautiful desert landscape that is plentiful here. The Sun represents Utah's Glory radiating off to other states, each point represents one of the things we are known for throughout the country. 2nd State to let women vote Our National Parks Our endless Job Opportunities Our Farming Our Mining Our rich Native American history Our Unique Pioneer Heritage. The number 7 represents perfection, and completeness, glory. Our amazing state strives towards this goal with low teen pregnancies, low poverty, high industry, and high standard of living. We then radiate these wonderful aspects of our glorious state outward to the rest of the country, much like the sun. Finally the Seagull in the Blue Sky. The seagull is the state bird, and according to local legend it saved some of the early pioneers, as such it is an important symbol of our rich and diverse history. It flies about in our clear blue skies symbolizing the freedom that all Utahns enjoy in this great state.
