Golden open-hexagonal emblem with white star a top, red triangle as base edge and blue background

The Beehive has always been a Utah symbol of hard work and prosperity, and in this simple graphic design, it is represented by the golden, open-hexagonal emblem in the center of the flag. (This emblem also creates a subtle 'U', akin to Colorado's much-beloved flag, but more subtly represented). This sits atop a simple triangular red base, symbolic of Utah's beautiful, rugged and diverse geography and proud citizenry. Above is a white star, representing statehood within the union, as well as the shining light of liberty. Behind this all is a field of blue, symbolic of truth and loyalty, a direct link to the flag before, and other state flags throughout the nation.
