Description |
The Aspen is the state tree of Utah. Since each aspen grove is actually a connected colony of trees, it serves as a perfect symbol of our connected community as Utahns. The two sections of the background represent the state's two distinct regions, Northern (WHITE) and Southern Utah (RED). White symbolizes the snow that graces Utah's beautiful peaks, providing water to the state and recreational opportunities. Red symbolizes the blood shed by the pioneers on their journey, as well as the red rocks of southern Utah. |
