1. The Beehive represents our pioneer heritage and our long standing focus on industry. Utah is setup to be one of the most industrious communities in the world moving into the future. 2. The similar layout to "Old Glory" represents our commitment to preserving our nations history and fighting for the idea of freedom and liberty that ignites the spark of hope across the globe. 3. The separation between the red and white symbolize the distinct difference of northern and southern Utah. Even though the differences may be drastic, we are still one beautiful state. 4. The Red symbolizes our courage to lead the country and the world into new heights of advancement in the sciences, arts and technology. 5. The White symbolizes our noble effort to stand as an example of love and acceptance of all humans. 6. The Blue symbolizes Utah's past and future. Like a river at the top of the Wasatch we started small, but through our industrious efforts we have carved canyons and will continue to have a growing impact on the world around us as we thrive together as one state. 7. The 13 stripes represent Kings Peak, Utah's tallest mountain at over 13,000 ft. Utah has and will continue to rise to the occasion when challenges are placed along her path. The trail to the peak is never easy, but the views at the top are as rewarding as the success and growth we achieve as a state when we overcome our challenges together.
