Description |
The blue of the sky stretches the height and length of the canvas, representing endless possibility. The green represents the ever present opportunities for Utahns. May they be as common as the greenery of the mountains. The yellow hexagon harkens back to the beehive, the Utah state symbol. Together with the star it represents liberty through industry. The star is Dubhe, Utah's state star, and one of the pointer stars used to find Polaris, the North Star. Each of the eight points on the star correspond with the eight cardinal directions found on a compass. May it always point Utahns toward the right path. Together, the mountains stretch up to the star, reminding Utahns that, as long as we work together, there is opportunity for all. Liberty is never out of reach. |
