Blue and yellow horizontal halved background with red dividing line and red ring in center, inside ring is mirror image of outside yellow and blue horizontally split

The design has three colors: blue, yellow and red. The design reflects both the natural features of Utah as well as its Pioneer heritage. The vast open range is represented by the blue stripe (sky) and the yellow stripe (desert landscape). The red strip is representative of the red sandstone features of southern Utah, including arch formations with the red circle outline. The blue semicircle represents the Great Salt Lake feature of northern Utah. The yellow semicircle is reminiscent of the beehive symbol which has been long-standing symbol of Utah.
