In this paper I push for and defend the adoption of a Bayesianism belief structure. Bayesianism is a belief structure based on the probability axioms of Kolmogorov. Given this, Bayesianism inherits the mathematical formulations of its origin. In order to explain and motivate the adoption of Bayesianism I provide a brief explanation of the underlying, inductive, logic and how it serves as a better formalize the inferences found in our natural language. Once the logical framework has been established I give a summary of the relevant parts of probability theory and how we can adopt the math to represent beliefs. Finally I justify how Bayesianism is still a valuable system of belief even if we are not perfect Bayesian agents. |
