Description |
Utah's state bird, the seagull, is presented as the iconic thunderbird on a sky blue field. At the bottom of the flag, there are twelve red rock mesas. Five mesas represent the five national parks in Utah, while the additional seven represent the seven national monuments in Utah. The ten pine trees at the top of the flag represent the ten ski resorts in Utah. The whole flag looks something like an Indian blanket which pays homage to the native peoples who have lived in Utah for centuries. |
