Description |
The covered wagon is a symbol of our resilience in the face of adversity. Utah's pioneers were hearty stock and our state continues that tradition today. The two sections of the background represent the state's two distinct regions, Northern and Southern Utah. Blue symbolizes the depth of our lakes and rivers. Red symbolizes the blood shed by the pioneers on their journey. White symbolizes the snow that graces Utah's beautiful peaks, providing water to the state and recreational opportunities. Yellow symbolizes our optimism and positivity as well as our commitment to learning and education. The Sego Lily outline represents the beautiful natural scenery in our state. The yellow of the wagon is also reminiscent of the yellow middle of the Sego Lily. The combination of red, white, and blue shows our state's patriotism and loyalty as a proud part of the United States of America. |
