| Description |
April 3, 1908. Protos Automobile in New York-Paris race. Leaves Ogden for Brigham City & the west at 10:30 a.m. from the shops of the Odgen Automobile Co. Driven by O.W. Snyder of Chicago. Leader of the German automobile Lt. Hans Koeppen left for Lucin over the cut-off earlier that morning. Guide is Charles Orson Wheat of Ogden. Car suffered breakdown at Kelton on April 7 and was shipped by rail back to Ogden for repairs. Others in the photo are possibly Jacob Jensen, Joseph Baumeister and Ralf Grange mechanic at Odgen Automobie Co. Donated by Robert L. Rampton. |
