Terrain was rocky with spots $f soil and grass. Several species of Eutam- ias were observed. Vegetation was predom= inantly scub oak and grass. Drove six miles west of campgrounds to flat area immediately above Central. Placed thirty regular mouse traps five yards apart in grass strip along fence line, Sagebrush fields were on either side of this grass strip. Shot Citellus varagatus in small canyon about 3/l mile south of campground. was rocky and grassy. Canyon The vegetation con- Sisted of quaking aspen and pine trees, Also observed nest of Cooper's Hawk in this Canyon. A stream ran down the center of Small canyon, DENNIS D.
