Ernst Nature Theatre

This photograph shows a large audience seated in the Ernst Nature Theatre presumably at Wasatch Academy. The amphitheatre was a gift from Senator Richard P. Ernst. The audience is seated in three sections with two isle ways dividing the middle section from the right and left sections. The audience is dressed in a wide array of light and dark colored clothing. Some members hold umbrellas over their heads. In the very back of the left and middle sections there appears to be many people standing, and also many people standing in the back of the left isle. In the background, houses are visible behind a thick array of trees and shrubbery. The foreground is dominated by a large oval area of grass in front of the stands which would presumably be the stage. A border of rocks, impeded in the ground, can be seen directly in front of where the audience is sitting (probably a boundary separating the stage from the seating stands). At the very right is a light colored bench and at left are what appear to be four sticks or very small trees that stand next to each other in single file.
