Abstract Regulation concerning pollutant emissions from industrial furnaces is becoming more and more stringent. Today, lawers are especially focusing on SOx' NO x' Chlorinated species and particulates emissions. The EEC directive 88/609/CEE (french official Journal ) [1] makes governments obliged to include in their national regulation the following limits regarding the NOx emissions from the new large combustion plants ( > 50 MY ) :
