Show 5 fjjlROTHER JUNIPER says: "I want to ~thank all who helped to make my recent trip to the Midwest so very pleasant. It was grea t fun to meet old friends and make new ones. The trip was supposed to give me a rest and a change. I got a change! Even Saturday nights were not free. It makes me think that perhaps the Church is missing a good thing by avoiding Saturday night affairs. Several people spoke about the possibility of getting slides and a tape-recorded commentary or a script, for use with Church groups when a 'live' missionary is not available. I hope that these will be ready for circulation soon after the first of the year. RUTH PALMER alone stays within call day after day, performing her tasks with devotion and thoroughness. HELEN, after a very short, much too short, vacation in Omaha, has been taking the school for Jean, and helping Jean since the latter's arrival, and filling in the balance of her 15-hour day with out - station school classes, the keeping of accounts and much of our necessary correspondence. Fr Liebler has been afar - for a short time. Another of those consultation of Indian missionaries at Roanridge, near Kansas City, Mo., called him, and it was an inspiration to meet and discuss problem and satisfactions with fellow missionaries from points as far apart as New York and Idaho. He could not stay through the meeting, as Convocation in Salt Lake City required him to be there the 22nd and 23rd of November. WE CLOSE as we began with Christmas greetings to all our friends, old and new, and expressions of gratitude to you, without whose help we could but little here. |
